Orangefest

I managed to stop off on my way home to take a few snaps of the folks celebrating The Twelfth/Orangefest along the Dublin Road in Belfast this evening. It was yet another beautiful day here.

Police Presence

There was a strong police presence around the centre of town with a number of ambulances and police vans/paddy wagons on standby. This was one of over sixty police Land Rovers I counted at the scene. I’ve just read on the BBC website that there are currently serious disturbances in both North and East Belfast following the marches. Let’s hope everyone gets home safely!
